How is it different from the frayed hat?
Same hemp, same double-layer wired brim, same cotton lining, made by the same makers in Kathmandu we've worked with since 2010. Only the edge is different. This one is finished clean, so it looks neater, like a classic sun hat. The frayed one looks more rustic. Pick the look you like.
How do I choose my size?
Measure around your head just above your ears. M fits up to 58.5 cm (23 in), L up to 61.5 cm (24¼ in), XL/XXL up to 64 cm (25⅛ in). There's no drawstring, so if you're between sizes, go one up.
What shapes can I make with the brim?
Flat all round for a July afternoon in the vegetable patch. Sides curled up for a cowboy at a Nashville bar. Front flipped up for an explorer in Joshua Tree. The wire holds it until you bend it again.
My hat arrived creased. What do I do?
Mist it with plain water, put a balled-up T-shirt in the crown, shape the brim and let it dry. A little earthy smell when it's new is normal for hemp and fades after a day outside.
